ergonomic keyboard tray vs top of desk?

I want to know what is comfortable and practical, keyboard and mouse on top of your desk or Keyboard Shelf ergonomic chair. Ergonomic keyboard tray does not seem very popular, but they claim to be more ergonomic. What do you think? These are the advantages and disadvantages of both keyboard and mouse on top of the desk: one benefits, you can lean forward and rest your arms on your desktop (you do not armchair) 2 cheaper 3.You do not pull the keyboard every time you write or use a mouse Cons. Do not give up so much space on your desk for a keyboard tray that both brands write. Maybe less than ergonomic keyboard tray Ergonomic Keyboard Tray with Keyboard and mouse behind your desk to free up space to write the second paragraph. more ergonomic than the top of the desktop at a disadvantage. Dragging the box every time you write or use a mouse. expensive Note: Back to the keyboard tray is designed to provide ergonomic effect by writing that I do not know if it's true or pay the difference.

How do I recover from tendonitis and get the painful symptoms under control? Is there a support group .?

I have painful symptoms of tendinitis in my right wrist due to repetitive typing and mouse. I have tried everything from ergonomic assessment, physical therapy, but symptoms may return. Sometimes it is so devastating that I have difficulty holding the wheel to have. I'm really really desperate to get better, not to have pain and tenderness, could play tennis again, to enjoy all the activities I used to.Any / suggestions are more than welcome. If there is a support group for people like me in the bay, you can let me know Have you tested for natural tunnel. Sounds like it's your problem. If you have surgery, you will need a range of employment. If you go back to doing the same thing it will be displayed. Tendinitis can be tough, and as far as I know you can not overcome is the same movement every day. So think of anything else. There are blocks that can help the keyboard, support arms, I do not know how, but I've seen several for use on computers that stay all day. Good luck Hi, I have a massage electronic tap rhythm that helps relieve the pain of my tendinitis. It uses low frequency stimulation to improve blood circulation. I found online from a company called Product Red Store: http://www.netproductstore.com/ They have good prices and also give an absolute guarantee. Burt.

Will the conventional keyboard and mouse ever become obsolete?

In a time where the touch-based computers are increasingly popular, have you ever seen the death of the keyboard or mouse in the future or not? I know how some companies are at this, as Apple calls it an ergonomic nightmare, despite the wealth of touch in their products, while some companies have developed touch-based computers. I have always been good with both keyboard and mouse, while the touch is more intuitive, it's just not practical for individual units. What do you think? I think it will be valid as ever. The mouse will probably be the first to go. Can be replaced by very precise markers. The keyboard is very hard unless touch-based keyboard or handwriting or speech recognition is very good, I think it will take a while. Of course, this is only a touch screen is not the opinion ErgoDynamics very slow and conventional keyboard typing away then fell, production of which any company you want and all the mice quickly painful carpal tunnel syndrome is more likely to change Somehow I think someone has made a mouse that works with one foot, so that the fingers are the keys on the keyboard online home probably someday, but I see it in the next generation a few years ago, as 80, someone tried to pass the Dvorak keyboard. The problem is that I learned to write in high school typing class in a commercial. Of course, not having to type Dvorak for HTE "the", but I bet there's more bad things to come :-) Anyway, the keyboard is hard to replace the mouse or other pointing device to change has always been . Remember that the rubber on the laptops? My favorite is the signature capture device.A A little work, and it would be a pointing device with Sig Cap make this a little bit about the Dvorak keyboard layout. http://dvorak.mwbrooks.com/layout.html.

Help me choose a mouse and keyboard?

I currently have the regular two-button mouse cord and keyboard that came with my Dell. The mouse is not ergonomic at all, creaking and it is not the smoothest mouse in the world. The keyboard has soft keys and not a lot of feedback. Can you give me the best corded mice through here and you know where the keyboard where the keys have a better feedback. Definitely a laser mouse would be the best because there creaking possible.Logitech is mouse / keyboard package is of great feedback and pretty solid as far as I know or have experienced. Dell keyboard and mouse are cheap things that come standard with Dell and is really not something you want when you are away from your computer. Nobody can tell you what to buy. It's just your feeling that such Löf is one of the IT business to go and test, until you like one. BTW Dell parts are not expensive, the cheap Chinese goods with a logo, so do not expect anything good from them.

which upgrade would normally cause the greatest improvement in computer performance?

A) Update your computer's ROM BIOS B) Increase the size of your C: drive) to update the computer's operating system D) instead of the computer microprocessor with a faster I replaced) keyboard and mouse with ergonomic models, I say to make his D was u think? Yes - in fact in all cases is D the largest improvement by adding more RAM when your computer is less than it needs to be won - but it is not for sale. Wow, I'm just a road in the 5-way, did you actually make a computer much faster. E is not true. C is not true, as long as your operating system works well. A is erm.I do not think it matters. B only if your current hard drive where Windows is located, is nearly full. D is a great way to get up to speed. Here is a crash course on some computer parts. RAM = memory. That is how much the programs can keep the computer open. If you miss this, you start to catch up. PROCESSOR = speed. That is how quickly a program can achieve the task. If you are familiar with this vulnerability, you will begin late VIDEO CARD = speed during a game / art fabric. It's like going directly to the computer during graphicky tasks. The best graphics card they can use more features in a game to look like the game better. If you are familiar with this weakness, your play will be slow. Processors also plays a role in improving the speed of a game, but graphics card plays an important role when it comes to eye candy-ness. I recommend you always have a processor, based on what you install on your computer. Ask a local technician about it. Upgrading RAM is the biggest increase in performance to reinstall your computer does not appear to run faster, but begins to slow down again when the new programs are installed. Install the new processor with an update is to provide greater support for speed, but if unreqiured so I can not recommend that asprocessor'ss expensive. Growing a computer system RAM is by far the greatest way to improve a computer, get on the list: P

keyboard/mice compatibility question.?

I get a new look for the wireless office. I wonder if the keyboard that says "Certified for Windows Vista will work with my Windows XP computer. So if I have a Bluetooth adapter, I'd be able to Apple wireless keyboard to use with my new Windows I heard people did. What would you recommend more than one, Apple keyboard, which I think is great, and the new Microsoft Laser Mouse 7000th I also study the keyboards, mice, but not sure. I like the ergonomic design of Microsoft as the wired keyboard driver 2000 (I now) and low-profile keys. I have nothing against them, but the buttons bulkey fat as on most Mac keyboards I hate.

Buying an OEM keyboard and mouse. How do I get the software and the manual?

The product is a Microsoft B7T-00001 OEM Silver / Grey 102-key normal 17 function keys PS / 2 RF Wireless Ergonomics Laser Desktop 6000 Mouse Included - OEM. I want to be able to control all features on both keyboard and mouse, and additional key to use both. Could someone please tell me? Thanks for your asnwer E1! It helped me a lot! No drivers needed for keyboard and mouse, and most of them anyway. their OEM if they will still come with drivers anyway. You load the software and manual on the site. Simply skip over Microsoft's site are listed below. Use the dropdown menu, then select the wireless keyboard model 6000, done, and your operating system. You should be on the download, which can store and install the cover. Therefore, a simple reboot, everything should be done better. As mentioned above, the OEM unit comes with a chauffeur. The main difference between the sales teams and OEM is the OEM team in general, do not carry a manufacturer's warranty, the expectation is that the dealer will provide warranty coverage in Re: extra buttons, the devices should come with a driver disk. If not, why Microsoft products, while your copy of Windows to date, to connect devices that eliminate the need for self-installing drivers, Windows XP should have drivers preinstalled .

Yesterday, I bought this pretty looking Logitech V550. It hurt my hand while using it . Is it Ergonomic? Help!?

So yesterday I went to this electronics store waiting to buy a cool new mouse for laptops. While I was looking for a nice mouse, I have this really caught my eye Logitech V550. It looked good with the little usb. The price was a little high bu I said to myself, why buy something if you do not walk, to buy the right thing. So I bought him. When I got home I was so excited. I immediately needed. When I tried using it after a few hours, my hand hurt so bad I werent able to move it. I tried to give to my friends and they told me that this mouse is not ergonomic. I was crushed. I tried again and again, but my hand would not stop damage. My right ring and little fingers really hurt. So I decided to do some research on the internet but could not find anything. I do not know what to do. The store is only to take back, they have such a policy. It's really cool, but my hand really hurts!

Where near Berkeley CA do they sell ergonomic computer stuff? (chairs, keyboard, mouse, laptop stand, etc.)?

I use a laptop at work for 10 hours a day and the inside of my palm is really evil. Buy for your typical retail cpu as Fry, or is it something limited to online shopping? I prefer to try not only that they have delivered. Thanks! Depending on the size of the company you work for, they can be a person who takes care of the ergonomics / worker issues overview. You should not buy your own work. An ergonomic assessment will be to get the best for you to start. In this way, you have a clear idea of what equipment you need. Needed: a good, ergonomic replacement for a computer mouse, due to strain?

Although I have not been to the doctor for him, and he's usually heals with rest, it is certain that the muscles I used for the mouse is painful (well, weeding and removal of heavy rock bad!) So, without issuance of $ 100, 00 plus vertical mouse, it is a good choice? Is there a plug-in that serves as the small screen on a laptop where you just draw with your finger? And it's better for people with stuttering chromnic? There are touch pads for tables, but if you look around with her had to call for an interview expensive tablet. It would be best for you depends on your situation. Go into a shop and try the touchpad on laptops, because it is almost identical. What's the best/ergonomic mouse to use to prevent arthritis?

I've been using Logitech G7 mouse started now, and although I love it. I feel that there is probably a better mouse that would cause less pain in my hand. My middle finger and ring finger knuckles knuckle is particularly pain.and where I feel now I feel that there is restricted movement well. I'm sure someone there has a similar issues.what you recommend I use? I'm only 25 years old, and I can not see myself not as a mouse. I notice that when I mouse, my ring finger and little finger dips with the help of many, because the slope of the mouse and the fact that nothing on that side of the hand support. Most mice out there like that, and I honestly feel that this has much to do with why I am in pain. I have trouble finding a mouse that supports the entire page, instead of just the area around the thumb, forefinger and middle finger.

I have a 3M ergonomic mouse is wireless, but do not have a USB chip to receive the signal. Can I still use the mouse in any way, the correct USB receiver. The only way you can use the mouse with USB receiver.

an ergonomic mouse for ring finger & little finger?

I've had my Logitech MX520 for years, a large ergonomic mouse, real easy on my wrist. As is round and comfortable on the wrist, I think my ring and little fingers are paralyzed because they are always full of people in my middle finger and never moves, and I just use the index and middle finger to any click . Now my left ring finger and little finger hand are substantially more flexible than my right hand ring and little fingers (I use the mouse with your right hand), I am increasingly concerned about my two fingers and wish that if there a good mouse that is easy on these two fingers. preferably of the well-known as Microsoft, Logitech, etc. What about the Logitech TrackMan Wheel. No part of your hand moves, and investment for each finger. Check out their website and consider a trackball. Especially with a ball in the middle. I have a Logitech G500 I just bought and am very happy to be ergonomic and have no problems with my ring / Pinkey Finger. If you use a Mac, a large company to Kensington trackball Logitech mice are great. If you have money to buy an Apple mouse. They work much better than any PC mouse, but is fully compatible with PCs. btw, most people do not keep their mouse to put their thumb on the left side with two fingers on the keys, the ring finger on the other side, and the little finger any function. Keep in bulk .

if i brought in an ergonomic keyboard & mouse to work, should myself or my employer pay for Batteries?

Customers keep the batteries die. I was thinking about my batteries, but I've noticed that customers should not I need them at home. So I was thinking of buying batteries for the job, but I asked why should I pay? I have to ask my boss to buy batteries for me? I do not know if I should buy only cheap for $ 20? You buy it - an extra set of batteries to get for yourself when you take your work and your keyboard to make things right? then sell them and they are your responsibility to keep it simple, I agree. If there is anything you would do in the comfort of your responsibility. That would be different if it was a "reasonable accommodation" for disability.

What is a good ergonomic device to help with my shoulder problems due to computer use?

I have shoulder pain and upper back with my mouse. It took five years. My physical therapy, I feel better, but when using the computer mouse, you experience muscle spasms and extreme stress on the shoulder. What should I buy for ergonomic device to relieve pressure on his shoulders, back and arms? I bought an adjustable armrest, but that was only in my chest the breastplate to be angry. I do not know if it's only in your home, your workplace or at home can be your workplace. If this happens to work, then you should talk to your supervisor and get someone to organize your workplace more comfortable for you. If not home, then you could go to stores that deal specifically with home offices and recommend what to buy. Try a mouse tray that attaches to the bottom of the table (or get a full keyboard tray with room for mouse, so can the mouse while the arm is held against his side and elbow bent 90 degrees, sometimes, if you make more use of characterization of the mouse can be useful to move the keyboard and mouse directly in front of your hand. You should never "reach" for the mouse .

what makes a mouse "ergonomic"?

I need a description of perhaps a few links to information about them and an ergonomic mouse that is. any help will appreictaied. Thanks. of course I need this for a presentation tomorrow, this is because science class that had three weeks to do it. haha good. * A good answer would be "best answers" Ergonomics means it is designed to fit the user's body. http://www.gizoo.co.uk/Products/PcGaming/PcGadgets/ErgonomicMouse/Additional/lrg-2-ErgonomicUprightMouse.jpg well, its a hand, unlike normal ones, which are uncomfy after a while because hand is another way for them. Points to consider would be the left / right and how the hands of men are generally bigger (I am a beautiful lady, ergonomic mice are usually very difficult for me!) Design

Is there any way to get the mac keyboard to perform a mouse click?

I tried all sorts of ways to deal with the pain of the hand with the mouse induces in me. I tried ergonomic mice, trackballs and use my left hand in place (I get a pain in the shoulder!) N. joy. My last idea would be if I could move the cursor with the mouse and then with a key on the keyboard, click and drag the action that causes more discomfort. Does anyone have any idea how I could get this on my mac? Thanks. lol you have a Mac, click on the desktop, go to the Help menu and search for universal access. You can also apply for disability access. These pages explain the control panel of universal access in system preferences. You must select the trackpad and the top of the window.

Why would you want to have an ergonomic computer mouse pad with a wrist rest?

An ergonomic mouse pad array holds the wrist in proper position for carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive movements that many people, as happens when you use the mouse to avoid the influence. If the computer hours per day, as I do, so after a while you may have pain in the wrist. I was in the early stages of carpel tunnel before I switched to the mouse pad with wrist rest, and after that I improved 100%. Do it now before showing signs of strain on the wrist and prevent you from worrying about it. (It feels better with your arm, too.)

Why are ergonomic mouses so expensive?

I think I'm down with a terrible design CSR standard mouse. I have looked on ebay and the alternatives are so expensive! I do not want to be paralyzed, physically and financially! Why it's worth the research that went into the design of the mouse. At the cost of hundreds of thousands of good design, and perhaps millions of dollars for research. His medications because they cost about 10 cents per pill, but then charge $ 20, because they cost a lot for the first project. The cost of doing things than they can sell. Traditional products will cost less for more.

Do any pro gamers use trackballs instead of mice?

I'm interested in trying a trackball because I heard they are more ergonomic than mice and have less movement. I wonder if pro players use balls instead of the mouse, or if they have a particular disadvantage for fps. I would not have a trackball. They are a bit sensitive, and you move to have to move much. I just want a $ 30 buy-ergonomic mouse or a gaming mouse $ 50. I used a trackball for use in the game but it has a few years. I had a facility where I had some opportunities tb macro, and I could change a weapon to another very quickly and go faster with macros if you know how I / O knew. I have not tested with them for a while and I have no mouse smooth somewhat the same as I did, but better seen. Good luck.

Is the 3M Ergonomic Mouse good for RSI sufferers?

Has anyone used the joystick 3M ergonomic mouse? I suffer from hand / wrist pain and I'm looking for a comfortable mouse. I am sure that it works for some people. But there are many different causes of pain in the wrist, and it is unclear whether this mouse, you have specific problems is the address. 3M mouse seems to allow you to use a mouse without pronating your forearm. "Pronation" is the term for making the rotation of the forearm when you rotate your hands so your palms are parallel to the ground to describe. Start with the operation of one of your forearms, as if you were to shake hands with your palm perpendicular to the floor, rotate your palm so it is parallel to the ground. It is pronation. You may be interested to know that to solve other devices that this specific problem. There is a company called Evoluent a series of vertical mouse does. This may be another option for you. If pronation of the forearm is related to your particular problem, which is great, however, there are other possible causes. It can be an overuse of the arm moves with the mouse and switching hands or switch to a device like a trackball might be an effective solution. Another possibility is that your favorite mousing position could be the cause of the problem and a better solution might be to use a keyboard tray to bring up your keyboard and / or mouse in a more comfortable position. Good or bad does not really seem to be a panacea for these types of problems and deal with them begins to boil until proven a failure, feeling a lot of things and paying attention to your body and try to understand what works. If you are able to obtain an ergonomic assessment can help, but even if they can help point you in the right direction there is still a certain amount of testing required. So you may be able to do just as well as by merely reading about CSR issues and doing a little 'trial. I hope you find a solution that works for you, may be to loosen his hands with a few simple exercises. If there is a lot of use of hands, there is often a mild to moderate displacement of the carpal bones. Causing pain and even swelling of the capsule surrounding each of these tiny bones. This occurs when the normal from their seats. It is carpal tunnel syndrome gets its start. You can get help from the other side of your wrist, and move in all directions, small bones, found their way back to their correct position .

What is the best ergonomic mouse on the market for the elimination of wrist pain and strain?

Suppose that the cost is not the most important factor. (The general framework for prevention). I spent some time on the computer, and found that the split ergonomic keyboards are very effective in preventing stress on the wrists. Unfortunately, I had less success in finding the perfect mouse. I was using a Logitech trackball ergonomic mouse, and have not helped my wrist and the nerves of some of my fingers are still sore. I recently bought one of its ergonomic wireless mouse trackball not - is definitely better (and cold), but not 100% effective.
